If you’re a parent, you already know: laundry is its own personality in the house. Some weeks it behaves, some weeks it acts like a dramatic teenager who refuses to be tamed. With a baby, two busy boys, and two adults, our laundry piles multiply faster than snacks disappear in the car.

Over the years, I’ve learned one thing:Having the right laundry products is the difference between “toss it and pray” and “wow, that actually worked.”

And in our house, one product has become the MVP of stain removal, fresh smells, baby-friendliness, and overall sanity:

Babies are tiny… their messes are not.

Spit-up, blowouts, formula droplets, mystery stains (always mysterious)… I’ve seen it all. For baby laundry, I keep things gentle on skin but tough on stains.

My Baby Laundry Routine

Soak When NecessaryFor tougher stains, I fill a small tub with warm water + 1 scoop of OxiClean Baby powder, and soak for 1–6 hours depending on stain level.

Skip Fabric SoftenerIt decreases absorbency for towels and sleepers. I let the detergent + OxiClean do the work.

🧼 How to Use OxiClean (Properly!) to Remove

Baby Stains

OxiClean works like magic because it uses oxygen bubbles to lift stains out of the fibers — and it saves a lot of clothes that would otherwise go in the “play clothes only” bin.

Here are the simple methods:

1️⃣ For Regular Stains

Spray stain with OxiClean Baby Spray
Let sit 5–10 minutes
Wash as usual

2️⃣ For Tough, Set-In, or Dried Stains

Mix ½ scoop OxiClean Baby Powder in warm water
Soak garment 1–6 hours
Wash normally
Air-dry first (so you don’t “set” anything with the dryer)

3️⃣ For Whites (Like Onesies, Socks, Swaddles)

Use OxiClean White ReviveIt whitens better than chlorine bleach without ruining fabrics.

Add 1 scoop to the drum
Add detergent
Wash on warm

🚀 Big Kids Laundry: Mud, Grass, Food & “What Even Is This?”

My big boys are full of energy, personality — and stains.
